Top Hat Stage School started its Youth Theatre Group due to demand for high quality shows performed to live bands in true west end style. Since its first course with BILLY ELLIOT, it has gone from strength to strength with its next production of RENT. Our current production of “WE WILL ROCK YOU” is a high octane rock musical written by Ben Elton and features the amazing songs by Queen.
“We Will Rock You” is a massive hit in London’s West End and we are thrilled to be producing this fantastic Musical with a full live band, an amazing Youth Cast and a Junior Choir.
So come along and show your support and be ready to ROCK!!!!

ABOUT WE WILL ROCK YOU
We Will Rock You is a Rock
musical based on the songs of Queen and named after their hit single of the same
name. The musical was written by British comedian and author Ben Elton in
collaboration with Queen. The musical opened in the West End and has become the
Longest-running musical at the Dominion Theatre. The story takes place in a
tongue-in-cheek dystopian future where originality and individualism are
shunned, and a lone "Dreamer" appears who can fulfil a prophecy that will enable
the return of rock 'n roll.
Please note this is an amateur Youth Theatre production. Performed entirely by students aged 9-17 years.

PAST TOP HAT YOUTH THEATRE COURSES:
We produce one show a year as part of Top Hat’s Youth Theatre courses. We purposely choose Musicals that are not staged that often and challenge teens. In 2011, we performed the controversial Rock Musical: “RENT”, which starred an amazing cast and was highly received.
In 2010, we were the only stage school allowed to stage the fantastic “Billy Elliot”, which we performed at the Wyllyotts Theatre. The show also performed at the London Palladium in July 2011. We also occasionally perform straight plays too, such as “Clue”, which is a play based on the board game Cluedo.
