TOP HAT SCHOLARSHIPS 2012

Well done to all our 2012 Scholarship winners. Over 150 applicants aged 6-17 years auditioned at our various venues across Hertfordshire including the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage, the Wyllyotts in Potters Bar and Hertford Theatre. AMY & TOM FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD TO THE LONDON PALLADIUM

Top Hat Students: Amy Phillips (9) & Tom Dunnigan (13) have both been cast as Munchkins in the West end Musical “The Wizard of Oz” which is currently playing at the London Palladium. Well done guys!

SUMMER SHOW & AWARDS CEREMONY 2012

All Top Hat students from all 6 Top Hat Schools in Hertfordshire will be working towards a July show. The show’s theme this year will be “Films” and will also encompass our Annual Awards ceremony where some students will win a Trophy such as: best Actor, best Singer etc. Every student will receive something however, whether it be a Trophy or a certificate and a report card. Shows will take place at normal Top hat schools (unless notified otherwise) and will take place during normal Top Hat Sessions. Potters Bar show will take place on Friday 6th July / Welwyn will take place on Sat 7th July at 12 and Stevenage at 5pm / St. Albans AM on Sat 14th July at 12 midday and St. Albans PM on Sat 14th July at 5pm / Hertford show will take place at Sele School on Sunday 15th July at 1pm.

“WE WILL ROCK YOU” YOUTH THEATRE PRODUCTION: MAY 2012

Our Youth Theatre Production this year will be the fantastic “we Will Rock You”. The show will feature a full live band and stars Top Hat students aged 12 – 17 years of age. BBC’S CALL THE MIDWIFE CALLS TOP HAT

Top BBC Drama “Call the Midwife” featured over 50 Top Talent kids in various scenes throughout the series. The show stars Miranda Hart and was filmed over the summer of 2011.

THOMAS TAPS HIS WAY TO “SINGING IN THE RAIN” IN WEST END

Thomas Holmes, 14 from St. Albans, has been cast in the West End Musical: “Singing in the Rain”, where he will showcasing his amazing Tap talents. Well done Thomas!

"SNOW WHITE” IS A XMAS SUCCESS

Our Christmas show “Snow White” was a roaring success this Christmas. The Musical which was written by Vice Principal Andy Musgrove took place at the Ark theatre in Borehamwood over December and all 6 performances were sold out! TOP HAT AT THE PALLADIUM!!!
Our London Palladium show on Sunday the 18^th of July went amazing! All the hard work over the last 6 months truly paid off. With our Weekend stage schools, our street dance crews and Youth Theatre Billy Elliot casts all coming together to perform a massive musical variety show; all to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer Charity. Over 300 children took to teh stage and a host of celebrities including: Ray Quinn, Zoe Tyler, Tom Law, Himesh patel and Deborah Stevenson. At present we have raised approximately £8,000, but this figure is still increasing as you can still donate at:
