TEACHERS:
DRAMA TEACHER: LAUREN LINDORES
Lauren studied at St. Mary’s University in Drama and Contemporary Dance. She went on to obtain Qualified Teacher Status from The University of Hertfordshire. She has taught in secondary schools as well as theatre schools and have enjoyed success in direction, winning in total four awards at the: “ Youth Drama Festival.” As a dancer, she has choreographed pieces that have been performed at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall. Her devised work which she has written and directed includes: “Pieces of Me” and “A Dystopian Dream” at Campus West Theatre and several plays for teenage actors.
DANCE TEACHER: GAIL CONWAY
Gail trained at Rayleigh Dance college on the Teacher Training & performing Arts course. She has ISTD teaching qualifications in ballet, Tap and modern and has been teaching at many dance colleges for several years as well as running her own dance classes. Her performing experience includes backing dancer for 5ive and Steps. She has been working for Top Hat for over 10 years
SINGING TEACHER: LYNSEY KNOTT
Lynsey studied a Btec in Performing arts at Hitchin College, and went on to achieve a BA Hons in performing arts majoring in Music at Middlesex University. She is also an accomplished song writer and has been singing in bands most of her life. Lynsey has been teaching for about 8 years and runs a Rock school through Herts music service.
TINY TOPPERS TEACHER: KATIE CLAPHAM
Katie Started trained in R.A.D ballet and I.S.T.D tap and Modern as well as obtaining a BTEC national diploma for performing arts. Her teaching experience includes: the Italia Conti school of performing arts, Splitz and successfully runs Elston's school of dancing with her mother. Katie has worked as a tiny topper teacher at Top Hat stage school for almost 2 years. Her professional credits include: Peter Pan, Jungle book and Snow White at the Millfiled Theatre.
TINY TOPPERS ASSISTANT TEACHER: Lisa Coleman
Lisa is now currently training towards Dance BTEC National Diploma at Sheredes School in Hertfordshire. Her performing credits include: Don't Stop Dancing, Joseph, Dame Alice Owen Orchestral Ballet Performance, Let's Dance and mayor's Christmas concert at the Broxbourne Civic Hall. Lisa also works with fellow Top Hat Teacher Gail Conway at Danceways on Saturday mornings and is more than thrilled to be part of the Top Hat family.
